Be Curious 2018

On Saturday 17 March the University of Leeds will open their doors to showcase the diverse and innovative research and discoveries happening on campus to people from across Leeds and Yorkshire, and Leeds International Piano Competition is delighted to be joining them.

The event is free to attend with fun and interactive activities running throughout the day. Make your way to the School of Music to visit our own event from 11am – 4pm. We will be introducing visitors to the world of the piano! At our engaging stall and demonstration area families will be able to learn how a piano generates sound, create their own thumb piano to take home and share a special message for our 2018 competitors. Visitors will also have a chance to celebrate the newly appointed ‘Steinway School’ status of the University with a few opportunities to play a real Steinway!
